open up the seatbelt socket thing
pull the copper contacts apart on the left hand side (from the drivers perspective)
close socket thing up

no more bing :)

I have the same problem as I have to undo three gates on my driveway into the garage.

I went to the scrapper, cut a seatbelt off a laguna iirc and pulled off the belt buckle. I keep it in the drivers door pocket. :D

how is that a better option? lol, so much more faffing around with spare seatbelts

its dead simple on the 182 to do the quick mod, and you can just bend it back if you want.

I dont know how the 200 system works so that could be why daniel does what he does, or maybe he doesn't want to mess with a brand new car but on a 5 year old 182 just break the contacts apart.

Cut the wire that goes in to the seat belt bit. Its really annoying when the "bing" gets loud!

Just cut the one wire going into the side of the seat belt as the seat belt completes the circuit
