Seat belt warning..?

  Subaru Impreza (334BHP)
Does anyone know how to disable this apart from putting the seat belt on? I will taking it around a track soon with a harness and don't want that thing buzzing all the way!! :S

Are you fitting the harnesses to a std seat or putting in buckets ? You should just be able to unplug the loom under the seat for the airbag and pretentioner. This will obviously bring the light up and switch the rest of the airbags (not just the ones in the seats) off though. I'm running buckets and harnesses and the wiring loom below the seat that used to be for the pretensioners and airbags are disconnected and i get no audible warning for the belt.

  Shhh
Im sure you could make a connetor from a scrap yard to make the sensor feel that the belt is being worn.

As to the airbag, surely you could do some research and get this working to.

  Clio Phase II 16V
just go to a scrapyard and cut the bit that clips in to the belt pretensioner out of another clio and plug it in

Unplug the black wire from the seat belt.
Make sure you plug it back in when your wearing no harness though as the airbag sensor uses knowedge of if you have your belt on when the airbag etc fires so if you don't belt up and have a crash the airbag will injour you as it thinks your belted in.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'll be able to plug the seat belt in around the back of the seat. Never thought of that...
