Seatbelt problem

My drivers side seat belt has stopped pulling back in properly when I un-buckle it. It pulls in a little then hangs too loose. It made a rubbing noise and felt stiff when I put it on the other day - think thats when it broke :S

Please say theres a cheap and easy fix for this!

does it retract a bit then stop before the end? i have taken them apart and wound the spring a bit tighter in the past but never in a clio.
depends how brave you are you need to get it out and see what you are faced with
