Whats the best alarm????

Clifford toad cobra

i want something reliable and smart with some gagets before i forget CAT1 aswell to keep insurance down

many thanks

most would say toad ai606.

ive got one and never had any problems. theres loads of add-ons that you can buy for it too

i've heard a lot of bad things about cliffords in the past but that could be down to not-so-good fitters

had a toad one on old car with no probs, good alarm.

got clifford on this carnt really fault it love the intelli start, down side to it is , when and if i take it through car wash n have the under chasis spray done , water gets into one of the sensors , n thinks my bonnet / boot isnt locked, nowt that a little drive wont sort out

I have a toad on my car, cant fault it, get the external sensor to warn away goons that peer into the bus..

I have the proximity sensor Toad alarm, it beeps when you pass the 'bubble' around the car (by bubble I mean effectively the range). One thing that I would fault is that it just lets out a beep to say go away, whereas there are Clifford systems out there that let out a real racket that would startle you if you didn't know the car was fitted with it!

Just try several alarm installers (make sure that they're approved, as you'll need cert. of installation to prove Cat 1 with insurers)

add on's are about £20/£30 - there's the exterior proximity thingy, total window closure, and some other stuff that i cant remember..
