Seen a cheap iceberg 172 cup.. Should I?

A garage near me has a silver 172 cup for sale, it's a trade in and they just want rid. Ad says it possibly needs an alternator, and pads, but drives fine. Looks really clean and standard got 70k on it and 3 owners. Oh and the mot has expired. It's up for 1300, I'm thinking I offer a grand and see if they bite. Could be a bit of money in it if I fix it up and mot it and sell on, or a massive mistake. What's it worth with a ticket and running well? 2500?

has it had belts? take that in to account also

Belts full kits fitted 380 was taking that into account if no proof they have been done, if they have even better

i take it this is 1 without the aircon as most iceberg cups iv seen for sale have had aircon like my current berg cup

Normally cheap for a reason! but then surely if you can get it for a grand or under you wouldnt lose money even if you broke it?

My Sunflower had sat for 2 years and barely moved. Haven't had any problems with it in my 10 months of owning it. Infact, it feels much stronger than my other 172's.

i would be poping in to view first thing tomorrow morning if that was local to me. silver 172 cup's are rare and if it's not in bad nick that could be a right bargin.
