setting up coilovers

  172 ph1 ASBO SLAYER
advanced suspension has never been my strongpoint LOL
setting the rideheight on coilovers
initially i set the front and rear to a nice height and ensured the platforms were the same by measuring spring height (front) and exposed thread on the rear. but i've found i've had to do a lot of adjusment to make sure each corner o/s-n/s on each end front/rear is the same.
i am using measuments from the centre of wheel to wheel arch.
the rear is particularly bad 15mm difference o/s n/s
anyone help.
i know i should get it properly corner weighted but this is a stop gap for a couple of months

You should realy measure on a totally flat surface and set up measuring the distance from the center of the wheel to the ground and taking away the distance from the floor to the bottom of the sills by where you lift the car as this distance isn't going to chnage panels have gaps which can chance these distances won't.
It will depends on your spring rates etc but i found that (using your calculation) a front coilover height from wings to center of wheel at the front of 310 and back 300 was very nice.

i'll try that means of measurement. its not the front/rear bias if got a problem with its o/s n/s difference on each axle. its taken a lot of adjustment to even the car up particularly on the rear.
on the rear the o/s platform is running 15mm heigher than the n/s one just to make the car appear level
