Shagged dogbone/gear selection - related?

Hi guys, quick one.

Can a shagged dogbone cause gear selection grief? (i mean very slightly not as in being impossible to select?)

Just wondering before i change it next week :)

Cheers

Yes very much so. the gear linkage is a solid rod, if the dog bone is shagged the engine will move forwards and backwards

Another quick one, the bushes for the dogbone, are they easily removed or do you need a press/vice?

Should just come out if they're shagged tbh.

Mine gave up and made the engine bounce rediculas.

Managed to take the bushes out of mine with a socket and hammer ( big side ) other side just fell out

The one under the battery dan?

Battery out, the tray underneath, is it held on with bolts or torx screws or what?

Roger that Chip, its not doing that, just the banging off the sub frame at high rpm.

I'm going to have a wee look at the mounts today as i haven't had the time so far!

Inspect all mounts visually. Top two, grab the upper inlet and rock the engine- see how much play there is.

Loosen upper engine mount, pull engine forwards, tighten mount.

Briefly done this a few weeks back mate, it hardly moved even after loostening the four bolts on the top one, it looks/feels solid enough!?
