Shark Fin Aerial

Hi,

I know the original aerial on my 09 Mark 3 Clio just screws off, but I've recently purchased a Shark Fin aerial to replace it, it says on the instructions that its easy to fit but it seems far from that. I think I need to take the aerial base of, this Shark Fin aerial has no space under it to maybe sit on top of the aerial base so thats why I think it needs fully taken off.

Can anyone help?

I imagine the aerial base comes off from under the roof skin.

Pull back the headlining and have a look?

There's a fixing but above the headlining at the back of the car.
Original aerial has an amplifier built into the base, so let us know how the shark fin works.
