Shocks on their way out?

Had the car looked at by someone at my GF's dads work because the car doesn't feel that smooth when driving over small bumps or hitting uneven bits of road.

Feels like the shocks might be on their way out but the guy checked the shocks and said they were fine. What else could it be?

Feels like the dashboard is taking the shock as it kind of rattles/crunches a little and just isn't as smooth any more.

Any ideas?

Put the car on a ramp not sure what exactly he did though as I left the car there then picked it up

I've had two fail on my 182, neither leaked or showed any signs visually of being broken.

One of mine was completely fucked, took it off and the ram could be pushed in and out as fast as u liked with two fingers.

There was no oil left in it

It's obvious if you take them off and try compressing/extending them.
