First off Hello everyone, im new to the site.
Going looking at a Kreg 1.8 16v tomorrow night, its a friend of my dad who has it so i know its been looked after. It has long MOT, its been lowered, The interior is supposed to be mint (according to my dad, ive not seen it yet) Its williams blue with gold alloys, not sure if there williams alloys. It has abit of rust on one arch, service history, just over 100k on the clock, My dad says the guy is looking for £1200.
Is that what there worth??

Sounds about right.

Just check it over for the usual things, as mentioned in previous threads. Check for any play in the steering, noisy power steering, cruching gears, clutch isn't slipping, brakes are sharp, no leaks, has the headgasket been done, has the timing belt been done, does it pull in every gear, no popping out of gear, do all the electrics work (slow windows are common), etc etc!

Cheers Jim, The timing belt was done 2k ago as was the gearbox and clutch, like i say the arch needs abit of attention but i can live with getting that sorted.

£1.2k seems a bit steap depens how mint it is.

I'd think £1k at best though.

Small rust on the surface can be a lot towrst Mk1 suffer terrible from it.

Cheers edde, my dad knows a guy who has a body shop, hes looked at it and its surface rust reckons its not too bad, i was thinking of offering a grand and seeing what he says.
Anyone know any other valvers for sale for between 1/1.5 grand??????

There's a mint looking tungsten valver for sale in the for sale section for 1k. Only 65k miles. It'sa in Wales though I think.
