should I be worried about the state of my pads?

Because I am worried. They are ds2500 and are around 3000 miles old with 1 trackday.

  330i. E30 Touring.
They don't look great for that mileage tbh.

Did you file them before fitting? Look to have got pretty hot.

Sorry for my ignorance but filing them??

But yes I did get them very hot at Donny. They were bellowing smoke after my runs.

DS2500 pads, although good do seen to crumble as disappear quite quickly once you start using them pretty hard.

i did 2 trackdays at Bedford, started with a brand new set of pads, and towards the end of the second day they were shot, and by 'shot' I do mean down to metal grinding against the discs.
luckily I had a spare set in the kit :)

Well on a previous clio I used Pagid Blue and was very happy with them. Might be worth looking at thoses again.

I understand your opinion Nick, but having used them faultlessly on the Cossies for many years, it was my first choice this time.
when the current set, along with the spare set of DS3000's expire, I shall look at other options.
but it's got to be suitable for figment with my 4 pots.

I binned the shims but they weren't filed down. To be honest I know nothing about filing them.

I found out my neighbour knows the owner of carbotech so he's gonna sort me some.
