Should I declare an engine remap to my insurance?

when you do rign them up, ask if they will accept a rempa because you are "thinking" about it. otherwise they may cancel ur policy on the spot if they dont!

My policy allows any mods so shouldn't have a problem. Otherwise this would have been the way I'd have approached it, yes.

Exactly. At least it's declared and you'd stand a chance then.

I told mine that my ECU swap was to eliminate an annoying running fault/hiccup, and that it swelled the torque curve but gave no overall maximum power gain.

No charge.

Good ideas, I don't think they'll be an extra charge, but we'll see.

at the end of the day i could play dumb and say i thought my 172 was supposed to have a sports computer?? or the prev owner did it??

Could do but you've just told us all you know it is remapped

plus you can sometimes tell with remaps date installed

my insurance company is Greenlight and they allowed me most mods, including a remap, without costing any extra..
