Should I find a replacement or atempt to fix my fog light?

Hi guys, the reflective mirrored funnel part of my n/s fog light is rusted. A friend has suggested finding some silver paint and covering up the rust, but I'm not so sure thats a good idea.

Just looking for some advice. Thanks guys.
