Should you clear coat on top of carbon vinyl wrap

Ive carbon wrapped my dash inserts, hazard surround and gearstick insert, is clear coat on top a good idea or will it ruin it?

From what I've read it'll hide the carbon effect.

test it on a small piece first/buy some of that 4D carbon vinyl which looks glossy already?

kinda melts the wrap/vinyl

It's not a problem on real carbon. Not sure about the cheap tacky stuff

Thats a good idea try it on some spare carbon

And I cant afford real carbon :rasp:
