Show me your wheel nuts!

I'm looking at getting a stud and nut kit due to my polarised TPI bolts going rusty and the ease of removing my wheels ect and was just wandering what other people have got.

Post away :)

Same fletch. Really disappointed with the TPI bolts tbh mate. It's a nice looking bolt and really let's the rest of the wheels, brakes etc down.

Been looking at lug nuts, just seeing what other people have got.

Mike I like what you've done on your calipers.

Thats the kinda thing I'm looking at. Fancy yet subtle. Is there any downfalls with having the nuts open ended?

I'm really not sure yet. They went on late Thursday and its snowed since then and the car hasn't moved. Sorry pal. I am pleased with them and they weren't mega money's either

So stupid question time.

I have a Mk3 with 20mm spacers (FK B Centric from Venom), and will probably end up taking wheels on and off from time to time.

What sort of thing would I need to convert to studs and nuts?

You would need the studs (measure your bolt thread size and add the spacer size on top to get the stud size. I think it's m12 x 15 x your length) some wheel nuts (again m12x1.5 thread) and locktight. Add some locktight to the nd of the stud and screw in, then leave to dry. Once dry add your spacers and replace the wheels and clamp up with your nuts.

@DrJekyll Im sorry to bump this post but did you ever put nuts on? I'm thinking about getting some, are they secure? I know some have keys. What they like for quick change of wheels? And do I need Spacers? I don't really want any.

Yes i did and have done again on my current RB.

Yes they are secure. A lot of cars run a stud/mut conversion as standard. You don't need spacers but you would need to do some research onto what sizes you'd need as the fronts will be longer than the rears. I have 16mm front spacers and 5m rear spacers and i run 82mm front studs and 68mm rear studs with 19mm head nuts. Wheel changes are simple and this way you can rest your wheels on the studs when lining them up. I wouldn't/dont bother with key nuts. Standard is fine.

Okay I'll have too look around do some digging it all depends if I get the wheels. Any suggestions where I can get decent nuts? I see alot on ebay. I'm debating between purple nuts on anthracite wheels or black on bronze really depends if I get the wheels
