Car  1.8 16v clio
I have got a 1.8 16v (1995) but the it was ritten of as cat b so it shud have been crushed but was repaired, i can not get any insurance for it now is ther any way of getting round this? :(
If not i have got a mk1 k reg fidji (no power steering) just sat on my drive with a blown engine if i drop my 1.8 16v lump in this am i going to have to change the 16v steering rack over or will it be the same. and is ther guna be any over little problems i come across whilst doing this?
P.S. IS THER ANY LEGAL ACTION I COULD TAKE AS I WAS SOLD THE 16VALVER WITHOUT BEING TOLD ABOUT IT BEING CAT B?

Am gna put the engine in me old clio 1.4 any1 no more bout engine swap on these.
and if i do this will i have to change the steering rack over aswell?
 
The insurance should have fixed it to roadworthyness for you. It's the whole point of insurance, to put you back in same position as you were before a loss. There must be more to the story.
 
no the car was a rite of wen i bought it and ther is nothin i can do to get it bak on the road it was alraeady repaired wen i gotit

Yeah there's not alot you can do matey. Just another lesson learned the hard way I'm afraid. That's what HPI checks are for.
