side strips on mk2 clio

ive got mk2 98-2001 model clio since ive bought car the side strips rattle quite bad with standard speakers in car etc. Now ive just fitted two 12ichn subs there rattling even more. The problem is i wana get them sprayed soon as wana color code everything. does anyone have any ideas to stop this ratllte can i put sumitng inside strips or sumting dont rely wana have to sound proof car? cheers ross

Check the clips , they can break quite easily and later clios have clips built in to the moulding - why not sound proof the car youll get the benefits

mine dont rattle too much, the thing that does rattle is to boot. well my whole car does but thats what you get with 3 12" subs lol

without the sub mine rattles on the inside of the door cards... and ive got the upgraded speaker package...

If cost is an issue then try MArley flashing tape, get 3 layers min on and teh rattling should really be cut down, my car hardly rattles from the outside at all now. Much cheaper than Dynamat, not as good obviously but better than nowt by a long way!
