Sidelight bulbs changing problem

hi,
bought some new bulbs for my car,
its a ph2 mk2 clio 1.4
only thing is i cant get the existing sidelight out of the holder, is pretty wedged in, the bulbs to put back in are w5w blue tint ones.
i thought the whole holder had to be changed not just the glass bit if that makes sense.
any help much appreciated

i think i had to bite the bulb and pull the plastic as hard as i could, they are pretty wedged in lol

they have probally just corroded a bit inside the holder. bit of wd40 on them maybe.
