Silicone Inlet Hoses - worth it or not?

  RB 182 Cup
My 182 runs a cat back RS192 system and a super unleaded map with the standard airbox and everything else standard.

Will a silicone inlet hose make any difference at all to the car (apart from nicer looking)? I'm guessing the standard hose with all its ribs could cause vortexes and disrupt the airflow. However, I'm guessing this might be so negligible that it's just not worth contemplating.

Thanks in advance

Sure i read somewhere that ribbing in a inlet hose is meant to aid cooling.

I read that somewhere too.. something about agitated air molecules compress better (get more in a cylinder) under combustion or something like that

i was always under the impression the ribbed hose causing the air to "tumble" (sure their will be a technical term!) helps the air and fuel mix better in the lower manifold, however regardless of which one is better or worse you are never in 1 million years going to notice the difference in driving, however that small un noticeable difference in your inlet hose, mixed with all the other small differences can build up to give a gain! i would go for what option you think looks the prettiest!
