Silver dash trim (172) -removal

The trim on the dash, the silver trim around the central air vents.

mine has become a bit rough and i want to remove it to repaint but unsure how to remove it - any ideas???

any help would be welcomed

just pull it towards you mate, only clips in.
p.s i have a set painted in inferno orange i want rid of!

I used a flat bladed screwdriver wrapped in tape to get mine out.

Hi, thanks for the replys - but do i need to remove any other trim first (obvioulsy take out the radio first).

you dont need to take the radio out or remove any trim, just pull towards you firmly but gently.

I think he's talking about the centre console? Not the dash strips?
