Sim City 4 (2003)

Seen people mention this in multiple threads - is anyone still playing? It owes me so many hours over the last few months I'd hate to count up. Just downloaded the NAM Transport mod - gives you loads of different new road types etc - transforms that part of the game. Anyone got any established games/cities/regions to show off?

I dug out my SimCity 4 discs the other day, the red and yellow discs. Can't find the case for the life of me though so don't have a serial number :(.

Might be worth it (and easier m8) - to simply buy the SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition off Steam for £4.99. It's at that price until the 5th Jan.

This is my main city on a new region. Cliche name, still a WIP. No dirty industry in sight (that's taken care of by the neighboring cities, along with one giant landfill site) ;) Football stadium and NASCAR track were downloads from Simtropolis. (Oops, just spotted someone without water).

I'm so glad the newer Sim City is going to make it easy to switch between cities. Pain in the arse having to go back to the region map every time, and it never really feels joined up anyway.

I think I've got about 12 cities linked up in my region.

1 of which is essentially one giant Newcastle, with nothing but power plants, waste-to-energy and grim pollution.
oh, and a couple of 3x3's of high-rise council tenements.

Love Sim City 4 though, hoping 5 will be even remotely as good. Sure it'll look pretty, but will it have people coming back after a decade?

My region is only a few hours old, with a couple of cities still losing money. The problem I've got with the big city now is the demand for commercial office space and not having any space.

Is simcity 4 available for mac digital download?

- CAMelot
- Network Addon Mod
- BSC
- Some bus mod I dont remember the name of
- CAMelot Residentials 8-15
- (soon) CAMelot Business 8-15
- 8x8 Industrial Areas IM, ID
- 11x13 High Tech

I bummed this a bit today, trying to build another high-tech city.

All the industry is high-tech with small amounts of manufacturing that's slowly being replaced by HT. s**t loads of commerical offices. Most of my residential is low wealth still, but once I've built up the surrounding towns I'll be taxing them outta here.

This is a game I've always looked at and wanted to have a go at but I know it'll eat my life up if I start on it. I played CIV alot and enjoyed it but again it takes up alot of time and it does get boring when I am used to online games chatting to friends. If number 5 comes out I may have to check it out.
