Sky broadband..

Looking into this, apparently its a one off payment of £40 if you have sky TV.
2mb connection.

Anyone already on this? Whats it like?

Sky customer service okay? Not had any problems with sky tv so havent sampled it.

Currently on AOL gold which is 4mb connection I think? Only seem to get about 1.4mb/s download speed though.

It's only cheap if you live near an LLU'd Exchange... which isn't massivly widespread.

i got 8.1mb broadband with BT. but i live about 500 yards from an exchange.

the missus who works for sky says visit www.sky.com/broadband and register your details on line and they will tell you if it's available in your area. I'm looking into it although we recently changed from BT to Sky Talk for our phone and the customer service was shocking. It took them ages to sort it out. It's still not sorted and that's 5 months and counting
