Don’t forget you will need the upgraded UHD Q boxes for ultra HD to work.

f**k me. £96pm is the best they did for the same package as above for me after about a month of dealing with them. I took it on the basis I wanted the F1 for the weekend there but considering telling them to FO now after looking at that HUKD link.

I have the latest 2TB downstairs & 1TB upstairs, all TV's in house are linked & can watch different programmes simultaneously.
My Parents have one of my five SkyGo passes & they can also watch in a different location ;)
Having 100GB phone contract means I can also watch on my device while walking the dog :)

Some on that HUKD I have no idea how they got it that cheap, I have everything we need for the next 18 months & full price is something crazy like £160 -190 so I am happy.

I had to cancel my contract & be prepared to walk away - BT TV is shite & BT Sport is in tak over talks - also working from home I could not really afford to be cut off!!

Worked for me - six phone calls & four live chats & a cancellation order placed, GL.

It’s nothing to do with that, it’s to do with the type of Q box you have.
It only takes a minute to check but it’s worth knowing if your paying for something you can’t use.

Out of seven versions there are currently only two Q boxes that can use ultra HD 👍

Whenever I watch films or sports in HD I get an option to watch in UHD so I have UHD ;)

Seeing as I’m essentially renting the Sky Q box, can they upgrade me on to a newer one without changing anything to do with my contract?

My main point was to make sure your not paying for uhd if your box doesn’t support it because the cheeky feckers at sky will let you spend your pennies and not tell you 👍

Cancelled sky after being with them for 15 years, and not a single effort to offer me anything to stay. Nothing online since either after 10 days or so.

yeah same as me, been with them same time as you and i was amazed more than shocked that they didn't give you deals on a silver platter. Haven't been back with them for about 10 years now. Even trying to cancel Sky was a very hard job too. Was very annoyed with the whole process

That is weird. Been away from them for a few years. Got an ok offer at time of cancelling.

But then about 2 weeks later got offered TV package which was about £20 for £1 for a year.

Maybe they are short of bodies? Covid? Resignation? WFH?

They should be hounding you really. Sounds like you'll be targeted soon, if you have a wife or partner get them to start a new deal in their name.
Nothing so far. Only got until jan 4th anyway. No intention of staying though but was interested that they appear to have changed tact perhaps.

I left them a couple of months ago. Guy offered something half arsed and said another team may be in touch.

I told him to make sure it's within the month as I have a new service starting the day I leave. Lo and behold, 4 weeks into my new contract with a n other they called to offer me a super duper deal.

Surely they know they need to catch you before you sign elsewhere? Especially with the Internet.

That is there standard, 4 weeks is generally the time they call back up. No idea why timewise but it is.

Very strange in that aspect.

Did I imagine there was a Simialr thread but for Virgin media?

This?

Was paying £59, randomly went up to £60 this month then I’m at the end of my contract. Phoned up to sort out renewal…£96. Said no thanks. Put through to cancellations who reduced to £74. Still cancelling. Not sure I will get better than that though.

Mines currently £69 (sky & internet). Had an email saying best they can do is £110.
Will have to give them a call I think.

If it’s anything like my experience, the first call will get you nowhere!

For context, I have:
HD
UHD
Netflix
Signature
Multi Room
Sports
Cinema
Kids

If its only for sport, downgrade and check the firestick thread out :)

How are people getting on ATM?
I cancelled mine last night but thinking may just need to stomach it.

Are sky sending out better deals days or weeks later like the did or are they happy we walk nowadays

For
Signature
Ultimate
Kids
By sport
Hd and ultra HD
Mulitroom
Super fast BB

I'm at about 94 per month. Come April price raise what will be back over 100.

I got sent this recently.

Broadband is out of contract at 29.50 per month.

My current deal is up so I've called and given notice, they came back with:

Sky Signature + Netflix
HD + UHD
Sky Sports
Superfast BB

£72.50

Still doesn't seem worth it, it's about what I pay at the moment but I don't think I use it enough to warrant the cost currently, I just like the UI.

I have pretty much exactly the same package as that, just with multi room, and I pay £82.50.

I reckon you / I could have got it cheaper but I couldn’t be bothered to play the “I’m gonna cancel” game and then wait them out to see what they’d reduce it to the closer it got to D Day. That said I reckon next year I will as like you I don’t really use most of it barring Netflix and the occasional football match.
