Sky HD box

Im thinking of going for sky HD..but there only seems to be a very few HD channels available.

Am i right in thinking with this having an HDMI outout it will upscale all sd channels aswell meaning a better picture :S


Also ive seen these HD boxes on ebay with a quad LNB....If i bought this would i just have to change the LNB myslef and then ring sky for them to pair my card with the new box?

Also the box i is an HD and a + box all in 1.....will this also still be the case pairing my old card to the box or will i need all new re wiring with it being a + box?

Ive currently got Multiroom if that makes any difference? (2 feeds)

You'd need the quad LNB then, and to run a second feed to the location you were having the HD box.

It is an HDMI connection on the back, however I don't believe (I may be wrong however) that it upscales.

As for the boxes on Ebay, I'd suggest going with one from Sky. Much easier to argue with Sky about getting it fixed if it goes wrong.

the HD channels that are avaliable are amazing anyway. all the football is in HD and you will even find yourself watching documentarys just because they are in HD.

normal SD channels aren't upscaled but more and more HD channels keep being added, so its not all bad.

It's worth it for the premiership games, alone! (but, it does mean you are effectivly paying for Sky Sports twice )

I really want one but I refuse to pay £300 for a box when I'm already paying near £50 a month to them already!

i got it for £199 when first came out, it is worth it, but i would deff buy it from sky, im on my third box, thank god for warranty

Na never seen any non HD channels upscaled.
