Sky *Stupid* +

Just been watching TV and the Sky+ just decided to crash and bomb out. Took about 2 minutes for it to start working again.

Due to this, all the programs in my planner (including 26 episodes of Two and Half Men and a few programs and footy games I'd stored on Keep) now wont load.

As well as this, the recording and pausing features are now not working and I've had to do a full system reboot and reset, losing everything.

What a pain in the f*cking arse. For no reason, either. I so want to smash the box into little pieces, but I think this may make things worse.

Anyone had the same thing happen?

sounds to me like it saved you from watching too many episodes of 2 1/2 men, it was funny for the first series and then just became very samey!

Get a decent programme on there like US BB!

I had that, destroyed virtually all the recordings on my box. It had been doing other odd things in the few weeks before too, but that was the final straw. The box was about 18 months old, reckon the hard drive was worn out. I was straight on the phone to Sky, demanded new box for free, otherwise would cancel subscription.

mine did a similar thing only last night, I quickly scrambled to the planner expecting the worst, but thankfully everything was there and it works fine, I was also expecting to have lost 2 1/2 men amongst other things.

My HD Sky+ box f***s up every now and then. Drives me insane.

Not had any majo issues, just wish you had to confirm when you delete something everytime rather than just when youve pressed the blue button.

Had about 4 boxes in the last 2-3 years.

They are made of cheese.

Lost so many progs due to the tards at Sky.

If i had a choice i would tell them to stick it and go somewhere else.

have you thought much about the soon to be operating FREESAT, from ITV and the Beeb?

Think I'll be getting it, mainly cos I can do without most sky channels, will save me money in the long run (10+ months) AND will have HD!

Can't wait.
