Sleepy F7p



  Mk1 RT + F7p + 172 Brakes
I cant believe i finally get my own project thread!!! Not going to be as good as most on here but ill try haha

Right the plan is to drop an F7p into my ph1 RT and make some sort of nippy sleeper

so the engine arrived today and on first inspection everything looks good although im lacking an ecu (pics shortly)

also got a 4branch to go on but this may have to wait till i get a downpipe for it.



well, its a start, updates will come soon

im currently lacking an ecu and downpipe (to fit the standard mani)

Need to find out the brand of manifold you have and get the matching downpipe, that looks like a supersprint manifold in that pic, they come with tyeir own downpipe that fits them and bolts onto the cat (or de-cat) ;)

nice one could save me a bit of hassle that

the downpipe is the only peice left i need to source

I have a Phase 1 (no immobiliser) ECU I could sell you.
Just need to wait and see if the new owner of my valver wants it.

should i swap the rear beam for a valver one for the rear discs?

or do i keep it stealth with drums but big brakes up front?

i hear stories from mates with redtop corsa's that discs on the back makes the v twitchy at the back, is this the same for clios? i cant imagine it to be as their factory standard on valvers

that looks like a willy manifold, deff not a supersprint( my supersprint V )

yea it is a williams mani ive got. god that supersprint is sexual (note to self - invest in one of those in near future)

well the car went in today for work to begin at my mates garage and the bloody germans where picking on the french again!!! my lovely piece of garage space was taken up by two VW's a passat needing a clutch and a mk2 golf with a snapped subframe bolt.
so its Dub stop play till tomorrow afternoon.

quick question....can i run a 1.4 gearbox or will the clutch foul on the box housing?

bit of an update, work should be commencing this afternoon once space has been freed up in the garage. got a surprise this morning when the posty came bareing gifts:

finally got a gearbox, one out of a 1.9 derv, got that fitted

stilllll lacking a downpipe for both of the manifolds ive got, getting redic. now lol

empty engine bay (very dirty/oily, the oil seems to have protected the subframe etc from rot.

old 1.4 energy lump had 20k miles put on it in one year with no breakdowns...whos says french cars are unrealiable

new lump with the gearbox fitted, took a while as i bent some splines on the clutch fitting the box, had to sit and file them out a little but alls good now



and for the ford fans, this is a sample of what im surrounded by while working on the clio

two fully derusted mk1 escort shells the one on the rack is gettin a 2.1pinto with twin 45 webbers :cool:
