Slimline steering wheel boss, do they exist?

My Vee is being parked on my drive while the garage gets rewired and a new roof so I bought and fitted a B&G quick release for a bit of added security.

I needn't of bothered as I soon realised that the Momo boss is so large and that the holes in it are perfect for putting a bar though to steer with, also the wheel being closer to me is really annoying.

So does anyone know of a slimline boss for a Clio or has anyone modified theirs ?

I like your way of thinking but sadly I don't think I'll completely solve my problem.

I've found NRG ones but not for Clio's.

I'm going to look at modifying mine to make it shorter and less accessible.
