Small crease

Car  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Got a small crease in my drivers side door which also goes into the rear panel. A PDR guy has told me that he'll need to drill into the door jamb, to access the dent then remove the dent, then put a rubber grommet on the hole. Does this sound about right? Has anyone ever had this method done to their cars? If so, was you happy? Need advice! Does £60 sound about right?

I'd just leave it to be honest mate, it's not the worst dent I've seen. Imagine if you got it removed too and then another one appeared?

Drilling and bunging (Whilst not preferable!) is a perfectly normal method so don't worry.

£30 a dent is about right too. (Unless you're trade, then its £35 for the whole car. ;) )

It's not a problem tbh, there's loads of bungs in side of door haha. I don't think they're from dents though, think it's just from factory so won't look too bad. He's doing me a couple as I have a fair few in drivers side :)

My dent man charges me £10 a dent, he did 5 dents on my Audi, a few of them i thought how the fuk is he going to get to them.... 20 minutes later he was done, crazy.

Where's he based? I think I need to speak so him haha!

Lol, the thing is though, 90% of people would never notice the bung. They'd moan about a dent though so it's a lesser of two evils.

They drill the hole to access the inside of the panel to push the dent out. The hole is only drilled to put the gear to remove the dent through!

Ah, so it's from the inside?

...TIL

FLOL!!! You utter r****d. It's a good job you can draw.

Go on Youtube and watch a video on PDR; Paintless dent removal. It's a very skilled line of work. (To be a good one is anyway)

I do have my idiot days I must admit. I'm not even going to bother trying to explain how I thought dent removal worked lol :o

So on that picture it's where you can see the lock on the door, they'd drill there. But as you can see, there are already holes there anyway!

I'd glue pull that dent personally. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't need to drill anything to get access behind though, he's being lazy not removing trim
