Had my coilovers set up at a well known place, car drives brill, but the steering wheel is like this when the wheels are straight, would you class this as acceptable?

Had my coilovers on for months and months now and my steering wheel sits in the exact same place as yours but mine were fitted at home.

Some companies offer to do the tracking with fitting but some dont, no harm in calling to find out.

No problem with having it like that but im going to get my tracking done after xmas just because it's annoying me lol.

Personally if I paid someone to fit them though I'd take the car back.

School boy error. When i take it there i tell them the steering is off centre, and it needs a full set up. Imo it should not be given back like that to you mind. Go back!

The steering was fine before it went in, so technically they did it.

Yeah, i just say its off centre and i want it straight when done. But that should be done in any case........ You should have spun it round and gone straight back. Hows the car drive though, feel better?

Mint. Will do something like that when i get mine set up, but if the wheel ends up like that, i'll drive it at the mech who did it, "sorry, i thought i had some lock on" ;)

Had mine set up at Jam-SPORT, came back with the stearing wheel SLIGHTLY off centre (not as bad as that) and took it back the next day, they gladly re-adjusted it to bang on centre at no charge. 100% take it back. Why pay when the jobs not done properly !??

maybe they took it out on a test and rammed it up a few curbs then realigned it

i'd request they check it over and sort it out tbh...

Mine is like that, has been since I fit my coils, I had my front camber setup but nothing else. I'll get 4 wheel alignment and tracking done next month I thinks.

Guy who set them up was called darren so maybe a different guy did yours.

This looks familiar, I left demon tweeks with my wheel like that. It's been that way for a month now. It is annoying.

Had the same myself, although that was from the same people who smashed a 6 inch piece out of my carbon splitter.

Had it redone at a different place, who were better, cheaper and realigned my steering wheel too.

Take it back

its not poor tracking at all. Very very simple mistake to make.
The wheels will be tracked correctly but its getting the fine line right between holding the wheel stright when doing the setup and the little bit of free play in the wheel and flex in the tyres when the car is stationary on the ramp. even if u use the tool that locks the steering wheel in place it doesnt always mean that it will be straight then u drive it down the road. ive seen it done hundreds of times.
Yes they should fix it free of charge but can be tricky to get perfect sometimes!
