so yeah... my bonnet

driving down the a34 bypass windows open, heard a clunk and wel like ermmmmmmmmmm noticed my washer jets were going up and down a bit so i pulled over...

F**KING bonnet had only come open hadnt it!!

had a look at the catch nothing wrong with it still all in good condition!!!

Bloody hell, that could have been nasty. I have heard about this with Clios before though, this is why I let my bonnet drop from about 6 inches to make sure it's well and truely shut. Of cousre this is not to say it won't vibrate open which is what I have heard they sometimes do. Nasty!

its lucky as the power lead had come out of my amp so i didnt have the radio on otherwide i probably never would have heard a thing

Might be mistaken, but think this is a pretty common fault which reno should fix foc? My mum's 1.2 had same problem and they sorted it, but it was in warranty.

Take it to the stealer, they're apparently advising all mk2 owners to get their catches checked.

The size of the standard Clio catch is tiny, get it modified to make it larger if it's an ongoing concern.
