Solid gearbox mount

Can anyone shed some light on how they fit ?

Ive took battery off then the mount attatching the gearbox ? How does the new mount it the one that attatches to the gearbox , is a new bolt needed ?

take the weight of the engine/gearbox using a jack etc. undo the big nut in the centre of the mount and the two either side,then lift the old rubber part out and drop the new one in.

so i didnt have to take the spider looking thing off, under the part where the battery sits ?

no need to take all that off unless you are unlucky and the whole pin bolt turns whilst undoing the nut

Should have done it for me today pal but on my solid mount there is no bolt for the middle of the mount ?

no the bolt is attatched to the lower part of the mount the bit that is bolted to the box via 3 bolts. it comes up through the upper part of the mount you just drop it on and put the nut you took off back on so it looks like this

So you just take the bolts off drop the new mount ontop of whays there and tighten back up ?

Is tht facing as you would see it when fitted ? If so spot on i feel really dumb that i cudn't figure a mount out lol

no the larger end with metal washer type part faces up and the smaller end down. because the wait of the box is supported on the larger end.
