Some lowering info needed

  BMW 328 Ci

My car is looking like a bit of a 4x4 beast at moment so i have been looking at lowering springs and i have a few questions.
This is the kit i am looking at
http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=206http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=206

1) Is that the cheapest you can get them?
2) Will a 35mm drop look much different or should i go 55mm? (feels a bit too much, i dont want to much rubbing / speed bump issues)
3) How much will they cost to fit?
4) How much rubbing will i get on both with 15 45/195

Heres my car now

Cheers:)

i think apex do a kit for about the same price ive got just the springs from apex 40mm drop on 15" looks ok

1. They are about £60 odd quid cheaper than demon tweeks, who btw say spax dont do an adj dampening kit for the mk1

2. go 55mm

3. no idea, do it yourself, not too hard

4. none, you may get a bit when you have 3 ppl in the back, but nothing major

My insurance said no to lowering or uprated suspension.

Good jod the 90mm drop on Spax was a standard factory option! ;)

Bought as seen... They have no stickers on the struts and the springs are the same colour.

Also the car has 14s so doesnt look that low.

Its a risk I take but then Im over 25 and drive minimal miles. Also in my defense I have listed every other mod that I could know about, after all, Im not a car bod, Im a city worker!

LOL...Hummm true, But...he aint got a 182 lads! So its not as necessary to have amazing ride! Get it looking good.

Im going for just springs, know loads of people who have mk1s dropped 35 and 55mm on just springs and the ride is fine, no probs, why spend an extra £200 when you dont have to?

Because your parents will cry when you hit a tree and die.

doesnt just springs kill your original suspension in time!?

Saying that my mk1 had a 40mm drop on just springs!Bit stiff ride but nothing major and i had 5 of us in it once and no rubbing at all!
