I like the engine cover, mine has discoloured slightly with the heat. Have you, or are you getting it remapped Tim? I'm getting mine done after the first service, tax & insurance renewal next month.

Hiya Gareth - Yeah will be getting it remapped but probably not until the spring now - too many outgoings the next few months - my son wants a go-kart for christmas!
Ive taken the carpet off the underside of the bonnet to try and avoid the cover discolouring - one of the lads of meganesport - Inferno - came to my house yesterday - his is only a year old and has done 9000 miles and the cover has gone a browny colour on the pipe that sticks up - you can see a mark on the carpet where it has rubbed so gotta be worth taking it off. Gonna get some of the reflective stuff that hill power use on their filters and cut it to shape into the gaps on the bonnet.
mines running 237.7bhp with just an ITG panel filter and the back box removed so I reckon 270bhp should be easy with a remap.

i will be remapping, ITG'ing and fitting an uprated intercooler on mine, job done. Can't be arsed with different wheels, suspension and exhausts any more.

Gareth - I know what you mean - no way Id mess with the suspension. Exhaust had to be done though - just far too quiet and got to say amd really pleased with it - sounds wicked under hard acceleration.

Got the Itg already although I heard they are brining an induction kit out so will have to have one of those when they come out.

got a brembo sticker on the underside of my bonnet now so cant have one on the battery as well.
Had to remove the carpet from under the bonnet or it would have rubbed against my painted engine cover so need some stickers to fill up the gaps lol.
i like my Frnace badge - took bloody ages finding that!

Is it alot louder with carpet removed? why dont you get some of that shiny 'foil like' stuff that Andy (Makaveli) has to fill the gaps? That would look really cool!

no - dont notice it being any louder. Im going to get some of the stuff that Hill Power use on their air filters.
The megane engine bay gets so much hotter than the clio ones - one of the lads used the same sort of stuff makavelli used and it didnt like the heat and started to look naff. Although I am sure there are different versions that may be better I quite like the idea of the metal sheeting

i used dynamat hoodliner high temp resistant stuff specially designed for under bonnet use
got it from a site in the states, they use it for those big mofo muscle cars lol

mines been on trouble free for well over a year now
