Dont get me wrong I really love my 172, driving it, styling, features etc. But I hate Renault dealers. :(

As I have mentioned on here before I mentioned a possible wobbly seat when it went for a service in November. They swapped the seat runners and in the process damaged the door handle, kick panel, seat belt trim and hand brake gaiter. All had to be replaced. Had the £205 service refunded due to the inconvenience!!

BUT........Im still waiting for two parts to be delivered which were supposed to be put on today but one was wrong A-fu*king-gain!!! So Im left with a lovely Clio 1.4 AUTOMATIC!

Its sad that you take your car to the dealer where you would expect it be safer than anywhere and dread something else they may of damaged.

Sorry for the long mail but god damn Im getting irritated. :mad:

I totally understand mate. mines in on wednesday for the SECOND time since june when i first got it!

Mine was damaged before xmas. went in for 4th headligh washer, came out with a dented rear end!! took them 2 attempts to fix. finally sorted now.

What upset me most was the fact they didnt own up to the damage, even though it had greasy finger prints all over it.

Told them I wanted a decent courtesy car for the inconvenience, got a brand new clio 1.4 the first time then last week got a brand new 1.6 megane dynamique. also repaired some damage to my front bumper for free as an appology.

Have you written to renault uk??

Glad to hear from someone who has had similar crap happen, wish it hadnt happened to either of us though!!

Ive been back 3 times since they first damaged it in November and each time theyve taken longer than they promised to get it fixed. They did refund my service which was £205 back in my pocket.

I wouldnt be as bothered if the car was kept in a state anyway but its completely mint and has only got 10k on the clock. Im going to be writing a letter as I dont feel its right to scream and shout at staff who have their hands tied by a company that lets them and their customers down.

Its a shame because I had my heart set on a Megane 225 and this is making me worry about buying, edging me closer to the Seat Leon 225 Cupra-R more and more.
