sorry another quickie question for ppl in the know



  RB 182 & Lotus Evora
Just where the inlet plenum (4 brand manifold) goes towards the front of the car, there is a big chunk of metal that looks really uncessary....whats this for? is it a guard for something? Its like its not even part of the engine and rather strange looking, can show a pic if needs be

oh and sorry one more thing, had a quick scout about at lunch and could not see for the life of me the brake fluid resevoir? dont suppose it shares the same one as the power sterring does it?

brake fluid U will have to take the engine cover off too see its at the back left looking at the engine and the lump of metal is the fuel rail guard

Like Iain says . Down remove your engine cover and the brake fluid reservoir is hidden down there .

Yeah as Iain said the fuel rail protecters there for a reason, stops petrol being sprayed over your nice hot engine in a crash.

Theres a pic of a V6 on here after the bloke took his rail protector off (he had a 2.0 Engine in the boot, and was reversing at the time)

ah wow yeah! amazing what you see with that cover off! :) cant say ive botheredd to remove it yet
