Sound Bar Lip Sync Issue

Need a bit of advice please folks - have a panasonic LED TV which only has HDMI, USB and Optical outputs. I bought a soundbar today from Currys, a Sandstrom SSBT12 which seemed like a really good deal (from £250 to £150). Ive connected it via optical cable and I can't avoid audio delay/lip sync and its driving me mad.

Anyone have any suggestions?

How's it connected ? Go optical out from TV if you can... or go direct from your sky/dvd player..

Its connected optical out from TV straight into back of the soundbar.

Isn't there a button at the bottom of the remote to adjust the sound on these?

My sound bar has a button to adjust lip sync. Sure yours doesn't?

Buttons on the bar itself are standby, source, vol up and vol down. Same on remote with the addition of mute and equaliser

Have you checked the manual?

If lip sync doesn't exist and you can't get it to sync properly via the menu then take it back.

Yeah I checked the manual, looks like its going back then.
