sounding like a taxi when idle

not the best video sorry but any ideas what this could be? I am planning on a belt change, full service and air filter upgrade within the next few weeks.

its a 54 plate on 56k miles with no service history.

p.s dont mock the air filter, not my doing and tbh could be part of the problem

forgot to add, that I have a power loss and surge on start up which fixes after 30 seconds

I would do it tomorrow mate but I have no idea where to take it in central scotland. dont want to risk a drive to BTM etc

Guessing it's the usual dephaser problem.

sounds like dephaser, that's not that bad though, keep the revs low if you MUST drive it, but get sorted

Most of the car's i've had in from up there are very rusty/corroded compared to local cars, dodgy air
