sounds nice and cheap :)

Well the specialists charge £450-600, and Renault Dealers charge around the same and up to £900.

I imagine someone will come in and say x is missing from the change etc (maybe oil/aux belt etc).

Tbh I wouldn't trust it, unless it actually is a reputable place!

Engine dynamics are ok, it wont be a genuine belt though, and hence I would be a little nervous about the tensioners, Ive had problems with non genuine tensioners in the past myself.

they give a warranty, dont know if its a genuine belt, but if there giving a warrenty it doesnt matter :/

Just noticed you are in Andover, I think Mike from MWM (based in staines) is only about 400 quid on a belt change on a non cup, and uses all genuine parts, so by the time it saves you some fuel driving to essex etc it might be worth ending up slightly out of pocket for the extra piece of mind.

very cheap that, all non genuine mind

Indeed, 200 quid ish for the parts last time I did it with genuine bits. Half that with non genuine though, so easy to see where the cheapness comes from, its still a couple of hundred quid labour, just less money on parts.

Although he does sell the genuine ones:

Maybe the one listed on ebay is a genuine cambelt but doesnt include a new aux belt kit or something like that, which would also be a way to save nearly 100 quid on parts.

Either way, it wont be the proper job done with the proper parts for that money, he'd be making too little for it to be worthwhile.

Have you seen the price he does headbolts for?

Took me a while to convince the mrs why we needed to be spending best part of 200 quid on ARP head studs instead of 30 quid on a set of his head bolts that she found while googleing, lol

he does inclued aux and it does seem like a good garage, and if he is offering a warranty it does seem like a bargain, not saying that im goin to use him tho . . . im going to get mine cammed remapped and belts done all at the same time, so id prefer somewhere that can do it all themselves and perhaps somewhere more local :)
