hey guys in my old clio, had jvc 6x9's in parcel shelf (280W) and some 5" JBL's in front, with sub and amp and sounded fine

in my new clio i am debating whether to have the 6x9's in the parcel shelf again or just geting some decent front and rear speakers to go in da side grills along with my amp and 1000W sub

*thinking maybe one of these*

do u think this will sound ok and just as good? as i do not need them for mega base as that it what i have my sub for? or do u think i shuld stick with the 6x9's ? i just be easier and look tidyer then cutting the parcel shelf, or geting a precut one, im not great with speakers and things, just thought get a few comments

cheers

*btw not running this on standard head unit*

If you have speakers in the rear you can keep what you got, but no need to add any in

yeh i was just thinking of upgrading the 5" for some better ones, but its just my 6x9's are more powerful, but aslong as the little 5" 's are going to do just as good of a job (as in i wont notice any difference) *i mean i have the sub for the bass* then i will be happier doing that.

and cheers

tbh, upgrading your components to them cheap sony ones u have posted is pretty pointless as the ones in ur clio atm would be just as good!! youd be better spending the money and geting a good set run of an amp!

6x9s are "louder" and give more bass than the standard rears - which is exactly why the overall sound quality is reduced.
They are adding too much to the rear, so you won't actually be able to hear the full benefits of quality components up front with all the "noise" in the back.

Front components - (preferably amped) and run the standard rears off the HU

Sub & amp in the boot - make sure you bolt it down!

Job's a good'un :)

cheers for the advice trigger - just wondering if anyone does actualy know the power output on standard renault speakerS?

As far as I remember they are 35-40w RMS
Might say in your handbook

On that note - a standard speaker in the Clio costs Renault 62p to make!
