Went to have my tyres fitted today I ordered two new ones. I'm guessing you all know that when you buy new front yours suppose to switch the backs over - I only found out today, anyway. Well it was all going well until the bloke came over and found a nail in one of the backs so I had to then get 3 new tyres oh dear and £££££££££££ I thought. The garage only had two in stock so I had to wait 2 hours for another BRILLIANT.

All in all its back and handling brilliantly it didn't cost to much the balancing and tracking and 3 tyres £329 inc VAT

WHAT A DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a beer

Bloody hell thats alot!
Ive been told that its not to good to swap the rears to the front as they will have worn differently, you may as well of got all 4 done.

I had a slow puncture so i thought , so i drove to National tyres , "you have damaged the tyre , it needs replacing " the lad said

Coz it's Quattro you have to replace the two on the same axel minimum!

So i went in for a £16 punchure , but came away £320 lighter for 2 Michelin pilot sports!!!!!!!! and that was with 25% discount!

Pricey!
Oh and 3 tyres? :S Surely the nail/puncture could have been repaired?

they tried to repair it but it was knackered, it had all these lumps all over the tyre.

I got michelin's fitted they worked out about 72 each

been told you should put new tyres on the rear and have more grip there - if you where to brake hard say in wet conditions with new tyres on the front then they would grip and the rear end wouldnt, and would probably swap ends with you facing the other way.....
