Spray paint -Brush it on

  Honda & VW
After spraying my bullets Ford Graphite Grey my intention was to hand paint (bought a very thin brush) the lettering with the Kawasaki Green paint i bought to do my engine cover.
However i have sprayed some into the cap but it's far to runny to possibly brush on, have i missed something - i gave the can a bloody good shake prior to spraying it into the cap.....

Cover the bullets in masking tape, use a stanley knife and cut the letters out, spray with green. Bobs your monkhouse.

(I would never EVER have the patience to do any of this)

I tried this before Dan but couldn't get a clean enough edge hence i decide to hand paint it on, i've got a steady hand and am pretty good and 'cutting in'.

May try the blue-tac approach...

Blu tac??

Have you left the paint in the lid for a bit, so it dries out and thickens up a bit?

Yeah i've heard of masking it with blue-tac then spraying over in the preferred colour.

no i haven't, i take it i should have done?

I did this to mine, just takes alot of time and patience to cut out the lettering tidy, but can be done

The other option is to just leave it Graphite Grey...

You've done a very very good job on them mate!

What about spraying them green, masking the letters, then spraying grey then removing letters??

You can get this stuff that comes in liquid form, you paint it on and it turns to like a putty/mask within a few minutes. You can spray the unmasked area then peel the putty/mask off...works perfectly on stuff ive used it for, may do on bullets too

  Never above 25mpg
Best stuff I found for painting numbers was the touch up paint from halfrauds. Using a very thin brush it was great.

This is how i did mine. Wasn't keen on the brush effect but quite like it now. I didn't have the patience with masking and made a mess.

just finished bluetac'ing and masking to give me a Blue Peter looking finish, now for the KG paint to be sprayed on - fingers crossed.

Only doing the one to see how it comes out....

As expected it came out no where near as well as i'd wanted, so just spent the last 15mins rubbing it back to the original silver ready to start again. oh well.

i did the same mate, wanted mine graphite grey with silver lettering and it came out crap so i redid them and just left them graphite grey. You could try a touch up pen maybe
