Megane 2 GT 165
Here's my go at spraying the K-tec thumbpads I received a few weeks ago.
Items used:
P360, P500, P1000 grit grinding paper
Plastic filling primer
Base color (metallic) (carspray teoflux)
Clear Laquer (carspray)
First started with a smooth going over P360 and sprayed on the Primer.
Smooth going over with P500 and primered again. (waited a day for the primer to harden ofcourse)
Rubbed it with some P1000 and sprayed it with the color.
Rubbed it again with some P1000 and sprayed it in color again.
Results
I was a happy man!
Now after 30min I put on the first cover of clear Laquer, as described on the rattle cans.
Sadly with the following results
"Clearly!?" I sprayed too much on it, but else I would have looked like spray "dust", as soon as it looked clear and glassy I stopped, but it started showing these spots of "running" unclear laquer.
Will these spots clear up and will I be able to polish (P2000 grid or something) smooth it out?
Any questions/sugestions, let me know.
