Squeak Noise 172 cup

Since yesterday I noticed a squeak kind of noise while driving,only does this while driving & not on idle.
Sounds like a rubbing kind of noise ie the aux belt loose.
The belt has been on a year & no problems so far after fitting until now.
Ive found the area where it's coming from & have tried to adjust the belt but no luck & i dont want to tighten it to far.
Any ideas please?,could it be a new alternater?

Try taking the belt off and spinning the pulleys? See if any are noisier or stiffer than what a normal one would be.

Yeh not for too long though as the water pump won't be running

Haha,I just put a new one on mate & seems fine so far.Odd as other belt was only a year.

I had this on my Cup at the start of the year but way worse - to the point that it would squeak constantly. A new belt fixed it too. Was also only a year old lol
