My 182 has developed a fantastically annoying squeaking that appears to be coming from the rear hatch. I've sat in the car whilst my wife drives and it’s definitely inside the car, not outside/under the wheels arch etc.
I have dredged the forum and one owner has had some success adjusting the catch mechanism, but which half and how do you adjust it? I've also noticed that the loop part of the mechanism mounted on the body moves up and down, is this normal?
I think Sod's law is at work here. Just as I'm about to sell the car it starts rattling and squeaking! Up until this point it's been perfect.
