Squealing Noise on Cold Start

if the battery has started to get weak (and the cold will highlight this) then the alternator will be under extra electircal load just after startup. This can cause a little belt slip

This and the damp belt theory seem the best so far!. I'll get a voltmeter on the battery tomorrow and see what that shows.

They do tire out. I've got one of those CTEK battery charge checkers and the OE battery and it's not fully charging even after long drives. nearly 60k now and just over 4 years old. Not much to change them though, or get a nice light one

Anybody ever figure this out definite squeak from belt area for couple of minutes when its cold and damp its a power gate aux belt,
