Standard Daily 182

  182
Hi all,

Recently got this racing blue, full fat 182.
It is my daily car and may be taken to a track day in the future.

The aim: Make it completely original and clean, very clean!

When I got the car there were a few stickers which were removed straight away.
I then had my mechanic look over it and a shopping list was drawn up.
So far we have had:
- Pads and discs all round
- Front O/S drive shaft
- Full service
- Cat fitting kit and exhaust clamp
- Bushes
- Clutch cable
(all genuine Renault of course!)

The car was also given a good wash, starting with a clay and finishing with some Victoria Concours Wax.

It is in dire need of a good machine polish too - I'll get around to this soon.

Next on the things to do are find any other mechanical niggles, the service light and airbag light are coming on intermittently together which I believe is the drivers seat wiring??

I also need to sort out the wheels which are in a bad way, and the front bumper needs a respray...

Awesome looking forward to your updates as a keen detailer myself

It's very addictive! My best mate is a mechanic so I have to occupy myself with something else... cleaning!

The Victoria's Wax is highly recommended, very easy to use and the finish is awesome.

The new drive shaft, exhaust clamps, clutch cable and service bits have arrived and will be going on soon.

Did a bit of cleaning on the other toy at the weekend...
