Standard exhaust loudness

Are the standard exhaust systems relativley quiet?

i only ask as both my center sections and backbox are OE but not official renault, and yet it it still has a fair grumble to it.

i assume its because its a cheaper alternative from a motor factors and not renault, and the renault silencers look bigger on both the middle and rear sections.

anyone else experienced this?

My exhaust is quiet i hear induction more from my airbox

My exhaust was quiet m8 before I changed it but it was full renault, not sure if that helps

The standard mk2 172 exhaust is quiet.

Non oe pattern ones can be boomy from experience. Genuine Renault ones are proper quiet

Mine is a standard type Klarius and I think it sounds quite meaty for OEM type.

Agreed my 172 hada standard system and everyone thought it had a back box cause it was boomy ! all OE just not renault !!

I too have the Klarius, centre section and back box. In the cabin it's mot boomy or loud my any means bit you can tell its there. Out of the car it's sounds alright too.
