Standard Speaker Wire Whats + and -



Fitting a sub using my standard head unit and a high level converter, really need to no what colour rear speaker wire is + and whats - on both sides.

Can any one help

if you look inside the speaker it will have the + and - signs, so you can work it out from that. i really cant remember lol
 
the speakers have no markings on them ill have to check again but i looked all around the connector bit. iv got the upgraded system thats in the 182s etc

The + / - are on the oem speakers in the actual socket. The + is the one nearest the retaining clip if I remember correctly.

It's true that the speakers will have the +/- somewhere on them, but it wont matter which way round you supply the amp unless you have some serious bass coming out your main speakers, as the sub will be 180 degrees out of phase and will cancel out the bass.

If your using the crappy renault speakers, it wont affect the bass. In fact if you do put it out of phase, it wont be boomy, where equal frequencies are adding together and creating peaks.
 
thanks a lot lads, ill have another look at the rear speakers. im running a vibe mono block 3 and vibe space sub, i dont sound right, had it in 2 weeks ago and it sounded better/different
