nope!!! ive tested bp ultimate and shell optimax and they offer no difference to me in performance or mpg!!! JET petrol at 73p per liter does it for me
optimax is 79.9 near me, always use it unless forced not to....dont rate bp ultimate at all, I really was disappointed even though I expected it to be very good, so its not all in my head!!!
Have used it in my Saxo and it definately makes a difference both performance wise and economy wise. But as its only a VTR so not that high performance in first place!!!!
my 172 has only ever had 98 ron fuel put in it, or so said the first owner, so i have only put it in, and at 79.9p is not that much more then normal unleaded round here....!
The exs valver could run on both, and running it on Super made a world of difference - a lot smoother running and less engine noise. She once said "its running really well recently", to which I replied "thats because the last 3 tankfuls Ive put Super unleaded in"...
still on first tank, so dont know on the cup yet. Did try Optimax, Esso Super Unleaded and standard 95 RON stuff with my ex new Mini Cooper. Optimax was far better. Smoother in power delivery and better ecconomy. Not sure if it gave better performance, but at 79p felt it was definately worth spending the extra £1.50 per tank.
I cannot believe some of the tight f**kers on this site,if you work it out it costs about £3.40 more to fill up on optimax by me and then you buy a performance car and moan about the cost of 5p a litre.
slippers, pipe, edition of granny weekly and a diesel tdi are words that come to mind
