Starter motors, a quick question? ;-)

ok, i've got the offer of a free starter motor to replace mine, but what I need to know is this... Are the 2002 (mk2 ph2) 1.2 8v and 1.2 16v starters both the same? ie will there be any physical/mechanical difference?

yeah its the same part , same part numbers. basicly the gearbox and botttom end are the same (diet series) number is 77 00 864 608 £324 new!!!!!!
